2 months of marriage and PCS fun

Married 2 Months!!!

It’s already been a crazy ride in our first 2 months of marriage! The night of our 1 month anniversary we drove all through the night to my sister’s family’s house at Ft. Campbell. Ryan is in training and had to sign in on the 10th. He’s been blessed enough to have her family to stay with and not have to live in the barracks again. Thank you, Thirey family!!! After staying a few weeks I came back to get our life back at Ft. Bragg all packed up. Now it’s our 2 month anniversary and I’m sitting here watching the Army’s movers pack up all of our memories!!

We won’t actually get down to Hunter Army Airfield (our next duty station) until mid-late June since his training is running so long. Hopefully by our 4 month anniversary (July 9th) we’ll be pretty settled into our new home and able to enjoy a trip to the beach together!

It feels like our life has been a whirlwind since he got home on September 9th from Afghanistan. I had just moved back from Miami, FL and we jumped straight into wedding planning (then our wedding was moved up almost 3 months due to his orders). After the wedding we took a much needed long 11 day honeymoon to Ireland!! (Most amazing honeymoon EVER, by the way). 🙂 Ryan had to hit the ground running as soon as we returned so he could out process from Bragg and get to Campbell on time….which brings us to the present time.

On Saturday I finally graduate with my Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. It has taken many years of hard work and dedication…and a few school transfers. I’m so very excited, my only regret is that Ryan will have now missed both of my college graduations due to military orders. The joy of being a military family, I guess. I’m also in the process of starting up my own consulting company…once I figure out the best way to do it as an Army wife with no real home!!

It’s already been a crazy, but exciting journey together and I can’t believe how fast time is going. In 9 days i’ll be back in my husband’s loving arms and supporting him in person again. I’m just trying to hold on tight and enjoy the moments, cause this journey of life goes so fast!!
